John left a message on the Guest Book so I contacted him to find out a little more information. It turns out Alec Weaver trained on Liberators with John's brother Charlie Leese out in Canada and from there Alec came back to the U.K and joined 206 Squadron. We know he was stationed at Leuchars during May 1945 but not a great deal more at the moment.

John's brother Charlie went on to India and joined 354 Squadron as a Navigator on Liberators. He was reported missing, presumed killed in April 1945.
