PEOPLE I'VE MET ON THE WAY

The fifth person to include within this section is Leslie Wildley
PERSON No. 5: Allan Wildey on his father L.F Wildey (Navigator)
Allan contacted me to say his father had been in the 206 squadron from 1944 to 1946 and had been involved in A/S operations and in the repatriation of British servicemen from India, having spent the previous 3 years in Canada as an RAF aircrew instructor. I've asked Allan if he'd like to submit some photos of his father's time in the 206 and there may be some on the way. L.F Wildey sadly passed away in 1984, but Allan has provided me with a recording from around 1983, of Leslie talking about his experiences in the RAF and the 206 Squadron. He has some very interesting pieces of information including navigation and bombing training, his time as an instructor and in Canada.
